Backstory Kitchen and Cafe

Just as any story being told, every food has its own story to share - to read, to experience and to enjoy;  a story of humble beginnings and the plot centered on family values.

What's so strikingly beautiful with this quaint place is that homey feeling. It is reminiscent of the times when you were at your lola's house while the familiar aroma of coffee is circulating in the air. It's that treasured moment when you're at your friend's rented place sharing nothing but small talks and chitchats. It's that bonding memory with a special someone that stubbornly lingers.

Truth be told, nostalgia is written all over the place and just as the name suggests, Backstory, it retells your own experience - same characters, different place and seemingly new story.

The menu with its diverse selections from pastas, sandwiches, burgers and frappes is happiness in every servings. And it's not just joy that is being served but also Love as it's conspicuously being painted in the place.

I really enjoyed their Backstory Burger - the crunchy sesame bun filled with the succulent patty complimented well with the other drool worthy ingredients such as the bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and onions. Plus it comes with fries that is paired with catsup and gravy served in shot glasses.

And it would not be complete if you don't sample their signature frappes. I tried their Chocolate Caramel Swirl and it was refreshingly good and reasonably priced. Too bad their best seller Toffee Nut Frappe was not available.

Backstory Kitchen And Cafe is conveniently located at Don Mariano Cui St., Capitol Site fronting Yakski BBQ. If you want a less crowded, no-nonsense place to hang-out or to chill with friends or family, I suggest you head to this place.
