K-Chicken Hauz

There’s no stopping a group of gluttons to have a Post-Christmas food trip and all roads only lead to one direction – City Time Square!

The place is swarmed with both local and international foodies alike because the area is composed of a diverse collection of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and dessert shops.

Voting unanimously on K-Chicken Hauz, we decided to satisfy our hungry tummies with something Korean. The restaurant is said to be a Korean eating place but they also offer Filipino food.

While waiting for our orders, we were provided with the usual Korean side dishes such as Kimchi, Mixed Veggies Salad and Cucumber.

Since we are a large group, we ordered their Family Bundle Set C which includes: Bistik Tagalog, Pancit Supreme, Yangnyeom Fried Chicken, 1 Plated Plain/Fried Rice and 1 Pitcher Ice Tea. Though we opted to add some orders such as Sinuglao, Sizzling Belly Bangus and Sinigang na Baboy to better fill our empty tummies.

The Bistik Tagalog was really good; the meat was tender and succulent. And surprisingly the Pancit Supreme was really supreme in taste.

We also enjoyed their Yangnyeom Fried Chicken which is a different take of buffalo chicken/wings. The sourness of the Sinigang na Baboy was just right to the taste.

The Sinuglao (Sinugbang Baboy / Kinilaw na Isda) was really appetizing while the Sizzling Belly Bangus was drool-worthy.

Suffice it to say we enjoyed our food apart from the each other’s company of course.

Cafe Breeze

Christmas has always been that time of the year where Friends from all over the world gather to catch up with each other’s lives.

As we are struggling to decide where to spend our chitchats, we finally agreed to try this Café located at Bay Front Hotel called Café Breeze.

It was a small café that is adjacent to the Hotel Restaurant where we decided to sit because it was more spacious and can accommodate a large number of crowds.

We sampled their banana cake and carrot cake which were the only ones available due to the Holiday season’s demands.

The banana cake was delicious and appeared to be an easy-to-bake treat because you can taste the sweetness of the mashed bananas in every bite.

On the other hand, the carrot cake was flavorful, moist and very yummy.

The Oatmeal Raisin Cookie was a perfect pair for the Strawberry Smoothie.

We were also delighted with their Strawberry Smoothie which was both refreshing and mouthwatering, indeed a fantastic celebration treat.
