Coal Mountain Resort

This hidden gem is perched high atop the Argao mountain canopied by thick lush green trees and draped in lines of vegetable plantations and coconut trees.

The place screams beautiful nature. It offers a panoramic view of the mountains in the south - like a picture from a painting comes to life magically!

However, going there already constitutes an adventure because of the bad roads composed of both the bumps and the potholes/craters. Good thing my friend is an excellent and flexible driver who was able to handle both the vehicle and the rough terrains; despite being shrouded by uncertainty due to multiple blind curves and stony road.

It even took us over an hour from the Poblacion proper before reaching the place because of the tricky pathway. Later,  we found out that we took the road less traveled because there was a different way going there which is a bit shorter and the way is wider & smoother.

(Note: Upon arrival in Argao, look for Tinong's Bakeshop across Petron then turn right. Once you see a sign Narda’s Store, turn left. You will know you are close to the resort because you will be greeted by the bumpy road. Hahaha. If lost though, you can always ask the locals doing their regular routines along the way for the direction).

There's a parking space at the entrance of the resort so no need to fret about the transportation and parking services. However, it can only accommodate a few cars. Though there's still a space inside the resort but am not sure if it's open for customers as well.

You are required to register at the Front desk upon arrival at the resort for guest registration and payment of Entrance fees, corkage and other charges if need be.

The resort recently provides food at their restaurant. Unlike before that there is a need to bring your own provisions such as food and drinks because they don't have it at the resort. On the other hand, you can always bring your own food and eat it at their restaurant or at the Mushroom cottages near the pool absolutely free of charge. (Note: Clean As You Go)

Resort activities include swimming, trekking, zip lining and tunnel exploration.

Serenity best describes this place because it has a calming effect while enjoying the natural beauty and the scenic wonders of Argao peak.
