A journey begins with one small step without trepidation. Armed with the desire to take on a new adventure, inexperience is blocked with enthusiasm for exploration. Every step guided with a glittering path towards a resplendent break. This is what expedition is all about. What defines traveling is the thirst for exciting activity be it food sampling, trekking, culture adaptation or simply rest and recreation. This is what I aim for to impart to people who shares the same aspirations.

Backstory Kitchen and Cafe
Just as any story being told, every food has its own story to share - to read, to experience and to enjoy; a story of humble beginnings and the plot centered on family values.
What's so strikingly beautiful with this quaint place is that homey feeling. It is reminiscent of the times when you were at your lola's house while the familiar aroma of coffee is circulating in the air. It's that treasured moment when you're at your friend's rented place sharing nothing but small talks and chitchats. It's that bonding memory with a special someone that stubbornly lingers.
Truth be told, nostalgia is written all over the place and just as the name suggests, Backstory, it retells your own experience - same characters, different place and seemingly new story.
The menu with its diverse selections from pastas, sandwiches, burgers and frappes is happiness in every servings. And it's not just joy that is being served but also Love as it's conspicuously being painted in the place.
I really enjoyed their Backstory Burger - the crunchy sesame bun filled with the succulent patty complimented well with the other drool worthy ingredients such as the bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and onions. Plus it comes with fries that is paired with catsup and gravy served in shot glasses.

And it would not be complete if you don't sample their signature frappes. I tried their Chocolate Caramel Swirl and it was refreshingly good and reasonably priced. Too bad their best seller Toffee Nut Frappe was not available.

Backstory Kitchen And Cafe is conveniently located at Don Mariano Cui St., Capitol Site fronting Yakski BBQ. If you want a less crowded, no-nonsense place to hang-out or to chill with friends or family, I suggest you head to this place.

wok'd thai take-out
Thai food has been known to many as one of the most diverse
food in the world from spicy soups, to rich and flavorful dishes even quirky selections.
There are already a lot of Thai restos opened in the metropolis and Wok’d is an exciting addition. Food are prepared and cooked using a Wok hence the name thereby providing Asian-inspired main dishes in minutes.
Stationed within Cebu’s
new “it” food strip "Streetscape" which offers a wide variety of local and
international food, this restaurant serves drool worthy menus. They aimed to bring the famous dishes in Thailand for the locals to taste and experience.
Servings are generous which can cater up to 3 people which is a good thing considering they are a bit pricey.
The Seafood Pad Thai (stir fry noodle) was by far the best I've ever tasted in Cebu. The noodle appeared to be soft and slightly chewy but it was tangy and really tasty. Other noteworthy dishes are the BBQ Angus Beef with meat that is so succulent & tender and the Tom Kha Soup (chicken version of Tom Yam) which was rich, creamy and spicy.
Also a must try is the refreshing drink, Thai Iced Tea which was a milky concoction.
Aside from take out, they also offer delivery services (Banilad area only for now).

21 Dubs Flavored Chicken Wings
Nestled in a secluded place is this newest chicken craze in town called 21 Dubs Flavored Chicken Wings. It’s an indulgence like no other because you have 21 flavors/sauces to choose from either as a dip or simply drenched the chicken with the sauces.
As a soft opening promo, they are offering 10 pcs of chicken wings at P120. The place is a bit small though so large groups are already accommodated outside. They also offer a solo meal at P90 inclusive of Iced Tea and rice.
The food is really affordable and the staffs are friendly and accommodating.
You can also scribble sweet nothings or just about anything under the sun on the paper placemats because you will be provided with crayons. Talk about playing around with food. Hahaha.
Best sellers include House BBQ and Mango Jalapeno. House BBQ
was tangy and flavorful while the Mango Jalapeno was spicy with a hint of
sweetness.
