Handuraw Pizza, Revisited

It has been awhile that I have visited Handuraw. They have been in Cebu for quite some time already but my latest outing was during a Birthday Celebration of my colleague. It made me fall again with their food especially their thin crust pizza’s which is for me one of the best in Cebu.

                                                                   Handuraw Special

                                                                   Pizza Mexicana

                                                                       Pizza Cebuana

                                                                    Mozzarella Triangles

                                                                           Pesto Pasta

                                                              Happy Rooster Chili Wings

                                                                       Ice Cream Cake

Indeed the delicious food prompted me to include them to my recent blogs.

Phat Pho | a Vietnamese Kitchen

The Abaca group of Restaurants never fails to satisfy my palate. Phat Pho, a Vietnamese Kitchen which is a member of the Abaca Group is an addition to my favorite list of places for reasonably priced delectable indulgence.

Suitably located at Crossroads, Banilad Cebu City, this luncheonette is ambrosial. Once you step into their doors you are welcomed not just by their friendly staffs but also of the distinctive aroma reminiscent of the streets of Vietnam.

The fragrant smell of their cuisines is so inviting that one’s tummy is assured of pure delightful eating experience.

Though the setting is quite informal, the place spells of stylish dining and posh milieu.

Everything on the menu can be easily prepared by their expert Chefs and orders are served promptly.

                                                                Pork Rice Paper Rolls

                                                                   Pho Ga Noodle Soup

                                                                 Vietnamese Fried Rice

Coconut Caramel Braised Pork Belly with Egg

                                                                       Chicken Satay

I would highly recommend this place for family and small group gatherings even friendly dates. They don't accept reservations though, so it's a first come first served basis; better be there early to fill that empty tummy to your heart's content.

Best Western Cebu Sandbar Resort

Hotels and Resorts sprout like mushrooms in Mactan, Cebu. It’s like every year that there are new Resorts introduced to the public.

While Best Western Sand Bar Resort had its soft opening last April 2013, I was more interested to try their Buffet Lunch since construction is still ongoing.

                                                                            pool area

I was even more enticed to give them a visit when a Tour Guide friend told me about her experience at the said Resort.
                                                                        beach front

                                                         resort activities include kayaking

So off we went to this resort armed only with a mobile phone camera and escorted with good friends.

The place is indeed unfinished yet but you can already ascertain that the resort is almost done. Staffs are friendly and accommodating and we were even toured around the place and inside their deluxe rooms for us to appreciate them even more. Most of the deluxe rooms are facing the sea enhanced with the breathtaking view of their pool area.

Part of our plan of visiting the resort was to sample their buffet lunch priced at P350 inclusive of one round of iced tea. For me the price is just right for the food being served from the usual Filipino Food and Japanese delights to Grilled Sea Produce, Fruits and Salads. Buffet starts at 11:30am and ends at 2:00pm.

                                                                 a gastronomic delight

Soups (Crab and Corn, Lomi, Macaroni)

                                                                    Japanese Food

                                                                  Fruits and Desserts

                                                                         Fresh Salad

                                                                         Pork Picatta

                                                                            Bam-i

                                                                       fish with tausi

The place is great for family bonding away from the hustle and bustle of City Life.

Tymad Bistro

I have learned that food blogging is like going on a journey towards your heart’s content. You search, you discover, you feel, you taste and finally you experience having a happy tummy.

And just like the rest of us who seemed to have an insatiable appetite for great food, we are always on a mission of finding the best place that serves happiness in every plate.

I know that I have been guilty of endless hunting for excellent food and it’s a vicious cycle because once I’ve conquered that place I moved on to the next.

This place however, Tymad Bistro conveniently located at Paseo Saturnino, Banilad Cebu City is an exception. It is one of the many restaurants that I choose to visit over and over. They are equipped with high-end customer service, superior and classy ambiance and most importantly the delectable and totally appetizing food they served.

Owned by a French Chef, this place tops all in terms of elegant dining experience and posh milieu which really sets out a blissful mood.

You have to try their tasty Cotes de Porc Persillade (pork chop), Filet Mignon de Porc Au Poivre (Pork Loin) and Poulet Tarragon (Chicken). These menus are best served with Red Wine.

Cotes de Porc Persillade (Pork Chop)

Filet Mignon de Porc Au Poivre (Pork Loin)

                                                             Poulet Tarragon (Chicken)

They also have a delightful selection of desserts that you really need to sample. Topping the list would be Parfait au Chocolait, a gluey chocolate treat with sweet sauce on the side.

Though not far behind is Nutty Chantilly, a thin crepe served with Nutella spread, formed like a star plus cream that provides an additional flavor.

Two-thumbs up for this place!
